Set up a big pot to boil with water. Preheat the oven up to 350 degrees. Coat a baking sheet with non-stick spray.

Wash out the artichokes. Cut off the top of the artichoke using a sharp knife to reveal the purple base, and cut the point from the outer leaves. Chop the stem to allow the artichoke to sit on a flat surface.

Bring the water to boil and make sure the water covers the artichokes. Place through the artichoke and cover with water. Reduce the heat and simmer for 10 to 15 mins.
